Ocean Visuals is honored to have been selected by the European Innovation Council (EIC) to participate in the EIC Immersive Programme in Cleantech, taking place 8–12 December 2025 in Austin and Houston, Texas.

The EIC Immersive Programme in CleanTech offers a unique opportunity for Ocean Visuals to engage with the US cleantech ecosystem and gain deeper insight into one of the most dynamic markets for emerging technologies. As part of the mission, we will present our OWL™ LiDAR sensor systems, which provide real-time detection and classification of oil and organic substances in marine environments, and gather input on technology relevance and applications in the US market.
Designed to support EIC-backed companies exploring international growth, the programme provides exposure to how business is conducted in the United States. Over five days, participants take part in coaching sessions, networking events, one-on-one meetings, and site visits that offer practical insight into market dynamics, stakeholder expectations and potential collaboration opportunities.
Why Texas?
Texas is recognised as a global leader in renewable energy and industrial transformation. Austin has established itself as a centre for technology and green innovation, while Houston continues to evolve as an international hub for the energy sector. Combined with a growing investor focus on sustainability, the state represents a market with substantial potential for cleantech solutions.
Throughout the mission, we will collaborate with partners including Rice University, Greentown Labs, and the Texas Association of Business, who will help us navigate the local ecosystem and connect with relevant stakeholders across the region.

“The operational use of this technology has the potential to improve the verification of suspicious oil features, the detection of oil in the water column, reducing the need for conventional laboratory analysis.”
